Important Safety Instructions for Kyudo Equipment

The products we provide are designed exclusively for Kyudo (Japanese archery).
To ensure safe and proper use, please read and follow all instructions below.
1. Intended Use
Kyudo equipment must be used only for Kyudo purposes.
Any use outside their intended purpose may result in serious injury or damage.
2. Usage Environment
Kyudo equipment must be used only in environments where safety is fully ensured, such as designated Kyudo dojos or practice ranges.
3. Compliance with Instructor’s Guidance
When using the equipment, always follow the instructions and guidance of your instructor.
Do not use the equipment against an instructor’s judgment or based on personal discretion.
4. Age and Experience Requirements
If the user is 18 years old or younger, the equipment must be used under the supervision and instruction of an instructor or an experienced adult who is 18 years or older.
Beginners or those with no prior Kyudo experience must learn the correct use of the equipment under qualified instruction.
Purchasing or using the equipment without the instructor’s approval is strongly discouraged.
5. Pre-use Inspection
Before each use, carefully inspect the bow, arrows, and kake (glove) for any signs of damage, including cracks, deformation, excessive wear, or looseness.
6. Physical Condition, Alcohol, and Drugs
Do not use the equipment if you are feeling unwell, excessively fatigued, or unable to concentrate.
Use of the equipment is strictly prohibited after consuming alcohol or while under the influence of drugs, including prescription medications that may impair judgment or physical ability.
7. Discontinuation of Use
If any damage or abnormal condition is found, stop using the equipment immediately.
Continued use of damaged equipment may lead to serious accidents.
8. Maintenance, Repair, and Modification
Any modification or alteration of the equipment is prohibited, except for proper maintenance or repair.
Do not perform maintenance or repairs yourself unless you have sufficient knowledge and skills.
Please note that YAKAGOYA assumes no responsibility for the quality or safety of equipment that has been maintained or repaired by the user at their own discretion.
All such actions are undertaken at the user’s own risk.
9. Storage
It is recommended to store the equipment in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Always keep it out of reach of children.
10. Prohibited Use
The equipment must never be used to threaten, injure, or harm any person or animal.
Use of the equipment for hunting, pest control, or as a weapon is strictly prohibited.
Any intentional or criminal misuse of the equipment is strictly prohibited and is solely the responsibility of the user.
11. Liability and Disclaimer
Kyudo equipment is inherently hazardous by nature.
YAKAGOYA makes no warranties regarding the use or performance of the equipment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, YAKAGOYA shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from the use of the equipment, including accidents resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow the instructions provided.
